We’re hiring a Brewery Assistant! Come join our growing team.
Wage: $16-18/hr
Upstreet Craft Brewing is looking for an eager, motivated individual with an attention to detail to care for our beers in production. Reporting to the Lead Brewer, the Brewery Assistant will be responsible for maintaining scheduled tasks in production. These duties will include cleaning fermenters, brite tanks, parts and canning line, cleaning and filling kegs, weighing and milling grain and general brewery cleaning and sanitization. Other crossover tasks in brewing, packaging, and warehousing may be required as requested by the lead brewer or production manager. Hours will typically be 35-45 hrs/week.
Qualifications:
- Flexibility; must be available for evening and weekend work hours when the task schedule requires
- Experience in a brewery is preferred
- Must have attention to detail
- Enthusiasm in the workplace and taking pride in a job well done
- Positive attitude and compatible personality for working in a team environment
- Ability to problem solve and work in an adaptive environment
- Good communication skills and ability to stay on schedule
Responsibilities:
- Following standard operating procedures for cleaning of brewery and brewing equipment
- Safe handling of chemicals
- Ingredient handling
- Variety of brewhouse, packaging, and warehousing jobs as the need arises
Working at Upstreet
This is a full time, seasonal position, with the possibility of ongoing employment. Brewery hours are typically 6AM-6PM during peak production. This person will work 8hr shifts within the hours of operation. Some evening and weekend shifts may be required. You’ll get to work with an amazing team, and contribute to some amazing products!
