2019 PEI Bike Rave – it’s time Charlottetown!

Charlottetown, it’s time again to RAVE.

Join us August 16th for the 4th annual PEI Bike Rave, a fundraiser for Art in the Open!
With a mission to refresh the community, Art in the Open is near and dear to our hearts. It’s a fantastic summer festival that peppers the downtown core with unique pieces of art in diverse media that’s both intriguing and accessible. We knew we wanted to help support the arts on PEI, so 4 years ago, we held our inaugural Bike Rave to raise money.

This has become an Upstreet signature event and it’s honestly our favourite weekend of the year. The Bike Rave starts at Confederation Landing at 7:30pm on August 16 before parading glow-style on our bikes through the streets of Charlottetown (with a police escort for safety!) and ending at Upstreet for a 19+ Neon dance party. We’re giving out sweet prizes for raddest bike and you’ll be able to grab some East Coast Craft Soda during dance breaks (yes, there are dance breaks).

This year, in an effort to reduce our usage of plastic, we will not be providing glow sticks. We encourage everyone to deck out your bikes with reusable materials – LED lights, Christmas lights, reusable glow materials, etc. Art in the Open will be on-hand to paint faces. Get creative!
