Upstreet Block Party – August 17, 12pm-12am

It’s year 5 of the Block Party, so you know we’re gonna do something epic.

The Block Party has become Upstreet’s signature summer event and we can’t wait for August 17th starting at noon. It’s free and open to all ages, and it’s our way of giving back to this amazing neighbourhood and Island community.

It’s a day of fun with live music, beer garden, food vendors, goats from Island Hill Farm, live art, lawn games, kids activities and more. We’re also launching community art projects – come and add your personal touch to a greater piece that will be created 100% by the glorious folks in our community (because it takes us all to make this place great!).

…Also, even though we party rain or shine, if you could send positive vibes for no rain, that’d be swell ✌️

SIGNATURE COMMUNITY ART PROJECT:
Do Good Day PEI. People will be welcomed into a tent with hanging envelopes. In each envelope is a suggestion on a little thing to brighten someone’s day or make the Island a better place. To get one, you must first fill out your own card with a random act of good, place it in an envelope, and hang it for someone else. Then, on September 17th for Do Good Day, everyone with an envelope will open to reveal their random act of good they’ve been assigned and complete it. We’re aiming for 300 random acts of good done on September 17th!

If you’d like to volunteer for the Block Party, please email Jaz at events(at)upstreet.ca.

SEE YOU AUGUST 17TH!
