Upstreet Hand Sanitizer – Retail Recall
At the request of Health Canada, Upstreet has decided to stop selling its hand sanitizer. Health Canada has informed us that an ingredient used in the hand sanitizer can cause irritated or dry skin if used excessively. Upstreet has not received any reports of dry or irritated skin as a result of using the hand sanitizer. However, out of an abundance of cautions, we have decided to recall the remaining inventory from our retail partners.
We began making hand sanitizer at the onset of the COVID pandemic at the height of the hand sanitizer shortage in an effort to help the community and our island stay safe, and are very proud of our efforts to do so. We will continue to work diligently to find ways to support the community as the world grapples with the impacts of COVID 19.
If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, please stop using the product immediately.
